My husband has a large back piece, and we’ve struggled to find a gentle soap that is effective at taking away the excess ink during the initial wash after the work is done. He has about 55 hours in the tat so far. I also have ink. Anyway, this is a nice soap to use for the first wash. It’s gentle, but takes away all the leftover ink and leaves your skin clean, but not dry. I recommend using this soap with disposable washcloths (get the plain ones) you can find in the baby soap aisle. Huggies makes a nice one with texture that, when combined with this soap, really helps to clean the skin after the tattooing. I like the antibacterial properties. Follow washing with either Tattoo Goo or Ink Fixx ointment for the first 5 days, then use Ink Fixx Tattoo Lotion. Works very well.
